Kitchen Tycoon

This was my take on a tycoon game set in an industry I had experience with - luxury kitchen manufacturing. The player takes on projects from clients, makes decisions to balance resources and then completes mini-games to help the project along. In business, you cannot please everyone all of time: in this game you are forced to do things quickly but also accurately and eventually the player learns what projects work for them and how to maximise them projects.

Colour Balance

In this game, you play as a spray-shop technician. You are given colour samples and you must use the colour sliders to mix paint that matches the colour sample. In the full version of the game, the player has to work quickly to get as many of these done as possible whilst ensuring the colours are accurrate. This forces the player to make decisions around balancing accuracy against time spent.

Workshop

The workshop view gives the player an overview of the company operations, here that can go into mini-games and see the carpenters producing the kitchens.

Notching

The notching mini game is rhythm game. The p[layer has to notch the wood at the green marker as it passes and are graded on how close they get to the marker.

Drill press

For the drill press, the player must set the machine to a specific depth and commit to drilling holes at that specific depth.

Delivery

I had plans for a driving game in which the player would drag the van side to side to avoid traffic, they could drag the van rapidly however that ill cause damage so they have to plan ahead to avoid damage to the product.
